I have never experienced using an FTP server and did not even know the meaning of FTP and/or how it is used. It is an awesome tool to have to use and definitely will come in handy in the future when using/working with larger documents that take up a lot of storage space.
I think the most difficult part for me learning about how to use the FTP is all the various software options and programs. It can get quite confusing knowing which Internet Explorer I have and which Windows program I am using, etc.... Especially when using my desktop computer which is still operating on Windows ME and my daughter's laptop computer which is operating on VISTA. I have found there is quite a difference in how to "manage" my links/posts/etc... However, although it has extremely confused me at times, it has also taught me many different options and choices when trying to accomplish an assignment. And I'm sure that I will need this knowledge to succeed helping my students because they will more than likely have various programs they use on their home computers.
