After reviewing the West Virginia and National NAEP 4th grade math scores between the years 2000 and 2007, I don't feel there is much difference. West Virginia "slipped" backward a little in 2005 from the National Average, but overall, I feel West Virginia is within normal limits of the National Average of a 4th grader on math scores. Of course, we will all strive to be better and bring the West Virginia average up to the National average or better.
